Dr. Hasan Yousef Albalasi is a senior consultant at Omani & Partners with over four decades of professional experience in construction, commercial contracts, and arbitration. He advises arbitrators, legal teams, and disputing parties on complex construction and engineering disputes, with a particular focus on FIDIC-based contracts and high-value commercial claims.
Dr. Albalasi holds an Honorary Doctorate in Commercial Law and a Master’s degree in International Law with a specialization in international arbitration. His extensive career spans advisory roles in arbitration proceedings, contract management, and dispute resolution across the construction and trade sectors.
Throughout his career, Dr. Albalasi has supported arbitrators and parties in institutional and ad hoc arbitrations, including proceedings before the ICC, LCIA, QICCA, and ad hoc tribunals. His work includes advising on delay claims, contractual breaches, project execution disputes, and settlement strategies involving high-value commercial and construction projects in Qatar.
In addition to his arbitration practice, Dr. Albalasi has held senior leadership roles in international engineering and professional organizations, contributing to regulatory, administrative, and governance frameworks across engineering and construction bodies.
