Turkey Anti-Dumping Investigation Against Egyptian Exports of Granite

Through Omani & Partners ’s ongoing monitoring of trade remedy investigations and notifications from World Trade Organization Members regarding trade remedies investigations, including Anti-Dumping, Anti-Subsidy, Safeguard, and Anti-Circumvention Investigations across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA) region and globally, we are honored to present the following update: On August 9, 2024, Turkey initiated an Anti-Dumping Investigation concerning the imports of granite originating from or imported from Egypt, classified under customs tariff positions 68 02 23 and 68 02 93.

Egypt is the leading supplier of granite to Turkey, holding a market share of over 62% in terms of quantity, which equates to more than 21 million USD in export sales from Egypt.
